On August 25 at 7 PM (Pacific Time), Gold Bar Community Rights (GBCR) will host an online workshop by Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) “Community Rights: Why and How Communities Are Building Democracy”.
Through “Community Rights” organizing, communities are working with CELDF to create a structure of law and government of all people, by all people, and for all people. That structure recognizes and protects the inalienable rights of natural and human communities. Community Rights work challenges the way state governments interfere in local democracy on behalf of corporate interests and the power of corporations to intimidate local communities.
This is a public event for anyone to attend. No registration required.
