Edited by Francesca Du Brock, this book grew out of an Anchorage Museum exhibition and offers a vital toolkit for resilience in uncertain times. CELDF’s Tish O’Dell co-authored a chapter with artist Andrea Bowers, exploring the intersection of art and activism — and how bridging these worlds can help us reimagine culture through the lens of care, connection, and community.
As Anchorage Museum Director Julie Decker notes:
“This publication is not so much a catalogue to an exhibition, but an additional way to convene voices, record stories, and share ideas. Woven throughout is the ancient desire to offer tools for how to survive and how to thrive — a how-to book born not of an ancient past, but a collective consideration of more empowered and impassioned futures.”
It’s not just a book; it’s a collective invitation to reclaim our future through collaboration and care.
