For 70 years, Lane County, Oregon has been under attack from industrial timber corporations killing life – including humans – in the forest with toxic pesticides. Even with harms being well documented, this is all legal. CELDF and its partner Community Rights Lane County are not only resisting these violent assaults, we are attempting to flip the script all together.
Need more reasons to support CELDF and the movement? Read this personal letter from our Executive Director, Kai Huschke.
”Big timber’s long held, out-of-step practices damage our county’s water resources, so with assistance from CELDF, we drafted the Lane County Watersheds Bill of Rights to protect our local waters.”
– Michelle Holman, co-founder of Community Rights Lane County
