March 17, 2026: “Protecting the Rights of Nature: From Concept to Success” featuring Will Falk, Co-Coordinator of Community Resistance & Resilience for the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (Presentation)
CELDF’s Will Falk gave a presentation on Rights of Nature for the Massachusetts Chapter of the Sierra Club’s Cape Cod & Islands Group. The Cape Code & Islands Group is looking to explore how they can support the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe with the Tribe’s rights of river herring efforts. The Tribe resolved in 2023 to pass a rights of river herring ordinance, but so far it does not appear the Tribe has actually taken that step and their effort remains as just a resolution.
