“…The authority members then discussed a copy of a letter written to the Township’s solicitor, David Pontzer, from a law firm representing Seneca Resources. Authority members, after reading the copy, told residents in attendance that in the letter, the firm demands that the township supervisors rescind the recently passed ordinance meant to stop the proposed injection well, saying that the ordinance is against state and federal law.
On authority member commented that, “They are threatening to sue us for caring about our water. It’s a shameful scare tactic.”
The letter will surely be addressed at next Wednesday’s township meeting….”
