Today, corporate developers have more rights than our neighborhoods. Just ask residents who have fought against unwanted development in neighborhoods like Southgate, West Central, Five Mile, and Latah-Hangman, among others. Prop. 1 would require developers to obtain neighborhood approval for zoning changes involving significant development. It means residents, not developers, would have the final say.
