In 2017, Lincoln County, Oregon, residents passed the first Community Rights ordinance banning the aerial spraying of pesticides in the United States. They joined a ground-swell of communities across the country who are pushing back against corporate rapaciousness and government collusion by demanding their constitutional right to protect themselves and the land that sustains them.
Lincoln County Community Rights is hosting the School as part of their growing organizing to advance Community Rights and Rights of Nature. They are educating on the realities of our legal system, the history of our current stalemate, and the necessity of a new way forward. It is time for us all to dig deeper.
