Town Hall Meeting with CELDF’s Thomas Linzey in Lafayette, CO

what’s happening?

Last spring, in the City of Lafayette, CO, residents took a stand to protect themselves from the unrelenting fossil fuel extraction threatening their health, safety, and welfare. The City Council adopted the first CELDF-drafted Climate Bill of Rights law with broad community support. The law bans fracking and all fossil fuel extraction as a violation of the right to a clean and healthy climate, including the right to clean water.

Today, Lafayette residents are insisting on enforcing their Bill of Rights. Community members and the Lafayette City Council host a town hall meeting featuring CELDF’s Executive Director Thomas Linzey, on  Community Rights organizing and legal strategies.

Monday, March 5th, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
