12th Annual Vine Deloria, Jr., Indigenous Studies Symposium

what’s happening?

The purpose of the annual Deloria Symposium is to honor the life and continue the discussion of pressing issues within Indian Country. Vine Deloria, Jr., was one of Native America’s foremost authors, intellectuals and scholars who never veered from challenging the status quo in order to improve the lives of Indigenous Nations whose voices were often underrepresented in mainstream Western decision-making processes.

CELDF’s Mari Margil will be part of a panel entitled Rights of Nature and Indigenous Rights, exploring the relationship between the two.

Friday, May 19th – Sunday, May 21st.
