Rockland Township Water Supply Protection Ordinance - (The
Rockland Water Usage Ordinance)- requires any new, corporate, large
users of water supplies within a local jurisdiction to prepare a Water
Impact Study to show that industrial and commercial use of water will
not have an adverse impact on groundwater supplies. This Ordinance has
been adopted by five local governments in Pennsylvania.
*This
DRAFT ORDINANCE was not enacted, but was drafted at the request of
community members in 2008. It was to be reviewed by the Township Board
of Supervisors, was discussed with them, but was never brought to a
vote.
